Big Steve Gardner-passed on to bigger and better things 6-2013

Big Steve, after suffering from a massive stroke, waited for a new full moon before he passed on to bigger and better things late Sunday night. He loved life and for the most part, life loved him. From our mother, Mz Sally, my sister, Renee Trusty and me, we want to say and X-tra Large Thank YOUS to one and all- for your prayers, positive thoughts, friendship and support which was the greatest healing medicine for us during this difficult time. We hope that you will remember Big Steve with a smile; remember him as he danced, laughed and played his double set of kitchen knives while he sang and shouted on the Jericho Road Show record, Wooly Bully Express. I think that he would like that.

So from here we'll keep our lamps trimmed and burning and we hope that you'll do the same. WOOLY BULLY, BIG STEVE. WOOLY BULLY!

Oh, sorry to hear the news. Losing a parent isn't fun. It sounds like you two enjoyed each orther and that's precious.

Very sorry to hear the news Steve, especially as I've just been through it. But it is the inevitable life cycle - the handed over the baton. That's why they call it the blues - but there are many shades. Big Steve had a good life and passed painlessly with you there. What more could he ask?

Your picture of "Big Steve" singing and smiling speaks the story of his love of life. The songs go on, and he remains a part of them. Peace to you all.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

With both my parents still living (90 and 84) the inevitable is approaching...been told there is no way to prepare.

One can see how proud  you are to call him dad, as I'm sure he is proud to call you son.  What a gift to know you will be together again.

Remember, you're not going down that Big Road by yourself.

Peace, Love and Joy,

Phyllis
