Rambling Steve Gardner Brings the Blues to Nissin Library American Shelf

Blues Man Steve Gardner and bassist Hisa Nakase performed at the Nissin City Public Library.

In between renditions of classic blues pieces and modern songs written by Mr. Gardner, the two musicians discussed the history of the blues.

They also invited members of the audience up to play assorted homemade instruments.

Opened on October 1st, 2008, the Nissin library hosts an American Shelf that features award-winning children’s books and American Studies materials.

Steve Gardner’s performance was made possible through the positive working relationship that the Nagoya American Center and the people of Nissin have developed through the American Shelf program.
