Rambling Steve Gardner summer tour report 2012

Hello everyone! After a long hot summer of touring and recording I am back in Tokyo, Kansai and Fukushima for the fall. I’m looking forward to seeing you all out and about sometime soon.

Bill Steber and I toured as the JERICHO ROAD SHOW this past summer playing shows from almost every corner of Mississippi-from Renee’ Fest. and Jackson, Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Fest. Clarksdale, in the Delta, down to Vicksburg for the Vicksburg Blues Society, east to the Queen City where our show at Club FACES, Meridian, was broadcast LIVE on WABG AM and promoted by our friends at  WMOX.

And had BIG Fun at Squealers BBQ, Meridian

after Hurricane Isaac.

Club FACES, the JERICHO ROAD SHOW with mighty blues diva,  Partrice Moncell and Dudly Tardo of the Mississippi House Rockers on Drums and Forrest Nelson on bass..

Down in New Orleans, we backed up the our friend, Alvin Youngblood Hart, who is an amazing all around musician. Bill and I were joined by Washboard Chaz, Brandon Armstrong and Cody Ruth. We also had a great time with Peggy Lou over at WWOZ radio. And finally we played the Memphis Music and Heritage fest. to a very receptive crowd of roots and blues lovers.

While down in New Orleans I finished recording, mixing and mastering my NEW CD, “Hesitation Blues”. This new record, #6, is a solo project but features a few tunes with Washboard Chaz, Bill Steber, Brandon Armstrong, Nick Vitter  along with Hisa Nakse, Yu Ojima, Jett Edwards and the Believers Today Choir. If all goes as scheduled I hope to have “Hesitation Blues” ready for release around Christmas.

Finally X-tra Large thank yous to all of the family, friends and new friends who came out to lend their support along the way. And to all of you who continue to come out, sing out and shout out!
