Wait a minute! You ain't heard nothin' yet. Wait a minute, I tell ya, you ain't heard nothin'! Do you wanna hear 'Toot, Toot, Tootsie!'?" Although it is believed that he ad-libbed this in the film, it was a phrase that was a known Jolson tag line often repeated in his stage act for many years. The song "You Ain't Heard Nothing Yet" was written for the Broadway musical play, "Sinbad" which had a very successful run during 1918 and 1919. It was in this musical that Jolson introduced George Gershwin's "Swanee."
